ABOUT US
Our Founder's Story
Cancer has touched my life in profound and deeply personal ways.
My mother, a lymphoma patient, became immunosuppressed as a result of her treatment. Her COVID-19 vaccines were ineffective, and she contracted the Delta variant—the deadliest strain a cancer patient could face. She passed away in 2021.
My father is a three-time cancer survivor—of skin, throat, and prostate cancer. When he was first diagnosed, doctors told him to learn sign language because he would never speak again. Through our family’s relentless advocacy, we found a specialist at Mayo Clinic who provided the treatment that saved his voice. To read my father’s full story, click here.
I have always been an advocate for those most in need. As a licensed attorney, I previously represented vulnerable children in the foster care system—those who had been abused, abandoned, or neglected. Later, I became the CEO of the largest organization serving patients with stomach cancer—one of the deadliest and most difficult cancers to survive. For nearly nine years, I led that organization through growth, innovation, and resilience.
Now, I bring that same experience, leadership, and unwavering passion to the GLOW community. My goal is to guide Global Leadership in Oncology and Wellness (GLOW) toward a brighter future—a path of hope, connection, and empowerment for all those touched by cancer.
